RAIN MOVING IN
After heavy rainfall this morning resulting in flash flooding for some areas, the heaviest rain shifts east for the afternoon. Some areas in Central Massachusetts have seen between 3-4″ of rainfall since midnight. A cold front swinging in from the northwest will provide an extra spark for thunderstorms in the afternoon, some of which may contain strong winds and frequent lightning.
Between the periodic downpours, we will likely see an additional 1-2″for the Greater Boston Area through this evening. Most of the rain will be done by around 7 or 8 PM later tonight as a cold front pushes offshore.
