WEEKEND IN VIEW
We’re off to a fantastic start this weekend across the Boston area. Today is shaping up to be the pick of the weekend, with plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and seasonable highs in the mid 80s. It’s a great day to get outside—whether you’re hitting the beach, heading out for a hike, or doing yard work.
Changes arrive overnight, as clouds begin to build and humidity makes a comeback. Sunday will still be warm, with highs again in the mid 80s, but it will feel noticeably more humid. That added moisture will fuel the potential for scattered downpours and thunderstorms throughout the day.
While Sunday won’t be a total washout, you’ll want to stay weather aware. A few isolated showers or pop-up storms are possible in the morning, but the main event arrives later in the afternoon as a front moves through. That’s when we could see stronger storms develop, bringing the risk for heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, damaging wind gusts, and even small hail.
Have a backup plan if you’re outdoors on Sunday, and make sure to download the Boston 25 Weather App so you can track storms in real-time.
NEXT WEEK
Looking ahead, cooler and more comfortable air settles in for Monday and Tuesday, with highs dipping into the 70s and plenty of sunshine. Most of next week looks dry and pleasant—a nice stretch of weather to look forward to!
But summer isn’t done yet. The heat returns by Friday, with highs soaring back into the 90s and another chance for late-day storms.
Enjoy your weekend, stay safe, and keep it tuned to Boston 25 for the latest updates!
