Celtics legend Cedric Maxwell calls the injury “devastating” for both Tatum and the franchise as a whole.
“You never want to see a guy go down like that,” Maxwell said outside TD Garden.
The two-time NBA champion said the injury would keep Tatum out about a full calendar year.
Regarding Game 5 against the Knicks at home, Maxwell said it will be tough for the Celtics.
“The Celtics dug themselves a hole early on by losing two games, losing last night, losing Jayson Tatum,” he said. “What else can go wrong?”
