PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A wrong-way driver was killed after a crash on Route 3 in Plymouth.
According to Massachusetts State Police, shortly before midnight on Friday, officers received reports of a wrong-way driver on Route 3 South in Plymouth.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers located the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle identified as Adam Plaice, 26 of Brewster with serious injuries. Officials transported Plaice to Plymouth hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The operator of the other vehicle, a woman in her late 20s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to a local hospital.
All southbound lanes closed after the crash and reopened around 3:30 this morning.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
