WORCESTER, Mass. — Police in Worcester are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a man accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of purses from a business.
Police say surveillance video shows the man stealing approximately $15,000 worth of purses from everyone’s at 120 Main Street last week.
Police also shared a photo of the getaway car the man allegedly used.
“Thank you so much for reaching out, I am heartbroken by the recent robbery at my little consignment shop — a place that has always been built on love, trust, and community. And I’m so grateful for the police and everyone’s kindness but when these things happen, what it takes from us goes beyond merchandise; it shakes a space that means so much to so many. With that said our community is a village and I hope this footage helps everyone put on the detective caps to help!!" Sweet Jane’s Designer Consignment said in a statement.
