BEDFORD, NH — The Bedford Police Department is investigating after a crash cut power to hundreds of people in Bedford, NH.

According to Bedford Police, the crash occurred on Back River Road on Saturday night when a vehicle struck a high-tension pole, causing significant damage to both the vehicle and the power infrastructure.

National Grid crews were called to the scene to assess the damage and begin necessary repairs.

As a result of the crash, approximately 800 residents in the area initially lost power. While the majority of customers have had their service restored, around 75 residents are still without electricity as of Sunday morning.
