NASHUA, N.H. — A state police trooper went to the hospital after a driver struck his cruiser while the trooper was at the scene of another crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, state police said Thursday.
Michael Crissis, 86, of Nashua, driving a Nissan Altima, failed to move over and struck Trooper Mark Lingerman’s cruiser from behind on Wednesday night, state police said.
Lingerman was inside his cruiser when it was hit. He was taken by ambulance to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center to be evaluated for suspected minor injuries, state police said.
At 6:14 p.m. Wednesday, Lingerman responded to the F.E. Everett Turnpike, northbound in the split lanes of Exit 4, to investigate a crash.
Lingerman used his state police cruiser to shut down the right lane. The cruiser’s emergency lights were activated, state police said.
Crissis was not hurt, state police said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Anyone with additional information about the crash is asked to contact Sgt. Kyle Foster at 603-223-4381 or Kyle.B.Foster@dos.nh.gov.
