NORTH HAMPTON, NH — Police are investigating a crash in New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon that left several people injured.
Around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, a 2009 Toyota Avalon traveling northbound on I-95 collided with a 2018 GMC Sierra, causing the Avalon to cross the center median and into the southbound lanes, where it struck a 2019 Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the Avalon, Jaceline Miranda Gomes, 29, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, suffered life-threatening injuries. An adult passenger in her car also suffered life-threatening injuries and a juvenile in the vehicle was seriously injured.
The driver of the Tacoma, 71-year-old Sandy Herbet, of Newburyport, Massachusetts, was also seriously injured.
The driver of the GMC Sierra was uninjured.
I-95 south was completely shut down while the victims of the crash received medical treatment.
The left lane reopened around 6:00 p.m., before all lanes were reopened around 10:00 p.m.
The crash is under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (CAR) Unit. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Eryn Murphy at Eryn.K.Murphy@dos.nh.gov.
