WORCESTER, Mass. — An SUV was located at an apartment complex in Worcester in connection with the search for a missing 30-year-old woman.
Joanna Brown was last seen on Friday, October 31, at Bean Counter on Grove Street where she worked.
The 2025 gray Mitsubishi Outlander police had been looking for was found in the parking lot of Green Hill Towers on Mt. Vernon Street three days later.
The medical examiner’s office was on scene before the vehicle was towed away from the property on Monday night.
Police haven’t said what was discovered inside the vehicle, and it’s unclear if Brown has any connection with the complex.
Brown left work early on Friday and did not show up for work the following day.
Her boss told Boston 25 News Brown has been a model employee in her eight years of working there and has never not shown up to work.
“She is part of our family. It’s really heart wrenching, and this makes me sick to my stomach,” said Alice Lombardi, owner of Bean Counter. “It’s really difficult for us. We’re a family here.”
Lombardi said staff and customers are now anxiously waiting for answers from investigators.
“I can’t imagine this would ever happen in my lifetime,” she said. “We’re all very concerned.”
Police previously said Brown may be in the Holyoke or Springfield area.
