BOSTON — Another round of bone-chilling cold has people bundling up before heading out of the door Wednesday.
That’s especially true for people who take public transportation and face waiting out possible delays on cold platforms.
The MBTA said they are on the lookout and ready to address any impacts from this weather.
That includes instances of cracked rails, downed trees or ice on third rails.
They are urging riders to allow for extra travel time.
Tuesday, they posted about having issues arise across the network that meant ongoing delays because of the freezing temperatures.
Temperatures are dropping & winds are blowing. We're on the lookout & ready to address impacts to our infrastructure, including cracked rails, downed trees & ice on the third rail/power lines.

They said to expect possible delays due to the low temps.
The T also said trains may operate at a reduced speed for several locations.
Although the MBTA has treated their areas, they also remind to be careful when boarding and exiting the train.
