HOLLIS — A maintenance man has been arrested after allegedly stealing jewelry that belonged to the late owners of a home in Hollis, police say.
Hollis police had received a theft report from a North Pepperell Road residence.
According to an executor of the estate, numerous pieces of jewelry had been stolen that belonged to the previous owners, a deceased elderly couple.
While investigating, Detective Josh Hooper identified a maintenance man who worked for the couple since 2019.
On Friday morning, police arrested 60-year-old Thomas Goode of Nashua after one of the missing pieces of jewelry was found at a pawn shop in Boston. According to the pawn shop, Goode allegedly pawned off the jewelry.
A search warrant of Goode’s residence was conducted by police, where they found two watches belonging to the late couple.
Goode was charged with 3 counts of theft by unauthorized taking and was released on bail.
He is expected to be arraigned in court on February 18.
