Karen Read’s murder retrial: Week 5 recap with Ted Daniel

DEDHAM, Mass. — The fifth week of witness testimony in the murder retrial of Karen Read came to a close on Wednesday.

Judge Beverly Cannone gave jurors an extended break from witness testimony for the Memorial Day weekend after she met individually with all 18 of them on Wednesday.

Read told reporters outside court on Wednesday that the prosecution has just one witness left to call to the stand before resting their case.

Testimony is slated to resume on Tuesday morning.
