Have a safe way home? Mass. State Police remind public to not drink-and-drive (Massachusetts State Police)

BOSTON — From all of us at Boston 25, we hope you’re enjoying the game.

With that being said, we also want to reiterate the Massachusetts State Police message of safe driving amidst the celebrations of tonight’s game.

On Saturday, Boston 25′s Security Analyst Dan Linskey called Super Bowl weekend one of the most dangerous for drivers.

“Superbowl has a tradition of having a number of issues,” Linskey said Saturday. “[State police] are going to have a lot of traffic enforcement units, and they’re going to be looking for people who are driving inappropriately and find if they’re impaired or not.”

He also went on to say that OUI checkpoints and patrols will be more apparent throughout the day.

Once the game is over, Massachusetts State Police ask that you have:

  • a sober & alert driver
  • extra time to accommodate for road conditions
  • seatbelts and car seats for the little ones

Boston police and all local authorities are imploring everyone to make the right decision.

From all of us at Boston 25, have a fun, but safe, night.
