Father and 12-year-old son killed in NH shooting Wednesday

HINSDALE, N.H. — State and local officials are investigating after a 47-year-old man and his 12-year-old son were shot and killed Wednesday in Hinsdale, N.H., according to a release from the state’s attorney general.

David Lent, 47, and his son Tyler Gilbert, 12, were identified as the victims in the shooting, which occurred just before 1 p.m. at a private residence on Plain Road in the town. There doesn’t appear to be any danger to the public, officials said.

Officials from the N.H. Attorney General’s Office, New Hampshire State Police and Hinsdale Police are investigating the fatal shooting.
