BOSTON — Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested several undocumented individuals with criminal histories in Boston earlier this week, including alleged gang members and some wanted for violent crimes such as rape and murder.
Fox News video shared with Boston 25 provided an inside look at ICE agents making arrests in East Boston on Wednesday as President Donald Trump cracks down on immigrants in the U.S. illegally.
The Trump administration has said that its focus is on deporting undocumented migrants who pose a threat to public safety.
ICE Boston arrested at least eight criminals who were here in Massachusetts illegally, all charged with serious crimes from sexual assault to rape and murder. ICE also says some of those men were affiliated with the MS-13 gang.
The video showed a team of ICE agents gathered outside a Market Basket store in Chelsea early Wednesday, with one of them saying, “We’re going to be targeting some extremely violent offenders today.”
Within moments, the agents were on the move, arresting an MS-13 gang member wanted in El Salvador for aggravated murder and he had an Interpol red notice out for his arrest.
“We are targeting very violent threats to our community,” another officer told a Fox reporter who took part in a ride-along.
“I’m not going back to Haiti! You feel me?” a Haitian gang member with 17 criminal convictions in recent years yelled as agents took him into custody. “F*** Trump, you feel me? Yo, Biden forever, bro.”
ICE Boston says it went on to capture an undocumented migrant from Brazil wanted for armed robbery, a Salvadoran migrant charged locally with rape and released, a Dominican undocumented migrant charged with assault with a deadly weapon and heroin trafficking, and a Guatemalan MS-13 gang member facing gun charges.
In all, ICE said at least eight undocumented migrants with violent records were arrested in the raid.
