LYNN, Mass. — Two people are recovering from injuries sustained during a dog attack over the weekend.
Lynn Police say they responded to the area of Flax Pond Park on Saturday around 1:20 p.m. for a report of a dog bite.
Responding officers found a 5-year-old boy and a 22-year-old woman who had been bitten by two loose pit bulls.
Both victims were transported to the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, according to authorities.

Surveillance video off Chestnut Street in Lynn Saturday afternoon caught the dogs trotting from the park towards Kyle Emerson’s home.
“I just saw people screaming and fleeing from the park with their kids in their hands,” he told Boston 25 Monday. “Looked like they were all fearful.”
Surveillance outside Casa Latina caught those dogs walking away from the park after the attack.
Emerson added, “I called their attention from across the street. They ran over, and I tried to keep the dogs away from any other civilians.”
Those dogs cornered Emerson into his driveway. His father, though, fended off the pit bulls with a stick.
They both bolted down Chestnut Street again, and were caught moments later by police, Emerson said.
“The dogs emotions were high, our emotions were high,” Emerson added. “Things happened.”
Neighbors nearby were horrified to hear about the chaos Saturday afternoon.
Kim Feinberg, a dog trainer, only heard about the attack Monday.
“Where were the owners?” she asked. “As crazy as it sounds, don’t run. Running away from a dog that’s running first calls attention to you, and second intensifies it.”
Police located both of the dogs and contacted the owner. It’s unclear where the dogs are at this time or if the owner will face any charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
