BOSTON — Police swarmed a Boston neighborhood and launched a death investigation after a man was shot multiple times late Tuesday night.
Officers responding to a report of a person shot at 35 Tennis Road near Blue Hill Avenue in the city’s Mattapan section around 11:30 p.m. found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Boston Police Department.
The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police noted that no arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting.
Video captured by a Boston 25 News photographer showed the area taped off as dozens of officers combed the area for evidence.
This marks the fourth fatal shooting in Boston since the start of 2025.
Boston police homicide detectives are leading the investigation.
