SIDNEY, Maine — Speed appears to be a factor in a deadly crash that killed a 69-year-old man on Interstate 95 in Maine on Thursday morning, state police said.
Philip Marson of Gardiner died in the crash in Sidney, state police said.
At 7:01 a.m., troopers responded to I-95 southbound near mile marker 117 in Sidney for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
A white Nissan pickup was reported to be into the trees in the median.
When troopers arrived, they found the driver, Marson, dead at the scene.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Sidney Fire Department and Ready Road Tow Service assisted on scene.
