WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Police say that a three-year-old boy is dead after being struck by a car in Woonsocket.
According to Woonsocket police, the incident occurred at 6:13 P.M. on Thursday, when officers were dispatched to Mason Street at 10th Avenue to reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a child on a bicycle.
Upon arrival, officers say that a three-year-old boy was struck by a car driven by a 25-year-old male.
The three-year-old boy was transported to Landmark Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
At this time, the victim has not been identified.
An investigation remains ongoing with full cooperation from the driver.
