Firefighter accused of setting forest fire in Stoddard, NH

STODDARD, N.H. — A volunteer firefighter in New Hampshire has been charged with arson after allegedly starting a fire that burned for two days.

Police say David Plante, 31, of Stoddard acted alone when he set the fire earlier this week.

Plante is being held until his arraignment which is scheduled for Monday. A release from State Police said additional charges are expected.

Law enforcement officials have asked anyone with information regarding the Stoddard forest fires to call New Hampshire State Police Headquarters at 271-3636.
