The case involving a Tufts University PhD student detained by ICE heads back to court Monday in Vermont.
Dozens gathered in downtown Lawrence Thursday for a vigil, honoring the hundreds of lives lost in the nightclub roof collapse in the Dominican Republic.
“I heard a lot of commotion, I heard sirens and more sirens, and I thought there was a fire or something,” said Holly Brooksbank, who lives at the apartment complex where this happened.
The victim's uncle says this crash should have never happened, and his family will keep pushing for justice for his nephew.
Jarren Duran reportedly admitted in a new Netflix documentary to trying to commit suicide with a rifle, but the weapon didn’t fire.
“People have the right to be afraid, I think it’s scary times and I’m an American citizen and it frightens me, but the thing I want to reinforce to people is don’t be afraid to call 911,” said Matthew McLaughlin, Somerville city councilor.
The documents show ICE agents took the Tufts Ph.D. student out of state within an hour of her arrest.
This case has divided the town of Canton. Some saying, they can’t wait for it all to be over.
